At NEX Music Festival 2018: ABOVE & BEYOND in Hanoi, the leading DJs in Vietnam such as Minh Tri, Nim & Slim, etc. were expected by everyone to have an amazing performance no less than the international artists. Recently, DJ Minh Tri had a moment of heartbreak after an unfortunate incident during the music festival.
Minh Tri was one of the most anticipated DJs in the festival. During the press conference, he shared to us that he had put in a lot of efforts and enthusiasm in order to create the best performance. However, his wish did not come true. Because it was raining heavily during the festival, the sound system was affected and the performance of DJ Minh Tri began 10 minutes later than planned. "In the end, we still decided to go ahead with the performance despite the high risk of the sound system malfunctioning. I couldn't have stopped knowing thousands of fans are waiting below in the heavy rain.".
"The first thing I did when I stepped onto the stage was pouring a bottle of water on my head, because I wanted to be wet with everyone. But what comes next was inevitable, and 4 months of preparing with numourous sleepless nights and plans was suddenly lost", as emotionally wrote by the MC of the Happy Lunch Show on his personal Facebook page.
He also shared that, while he was stepping down the stage feeling the extreme loss, many of his friends and the audience approached the fence to comfort him: "Never in my 15 years of being in this industry have I ever felt so touched. Success for me is not when I am at the top of my career, but is realizing that when I fail, there are still so many people that won't give up on me. I will not stop and will continue to work harder to give you the best of everything that I have.".
His emotional post has drawn hundreds of comments from the EDM music lovers community. Nancy Kieu commented: "I was crying when I saw your drum set being removed. I was truly sad for you because over the past 4 months I have seen how hard you worked just to create a performance set that ultimately failed to perform due to the unavoidable weather. My heart is sad, but you must have been heartbroken. I could only sit in silent next to you without saying anything. There is no path to success without difficulties. Although your music was not played in full on the show, you have devoted all your strength and spirit.".
Facebook account Nguyen Ngoc Giao also shared this opinion: "There will be more opportunities, bigger stages for my idol, I still believe so. Don't stop trying, I know you gave a lot of dedication to the show this time, and you were only a little unlucky. You will always have everyone's support.".
Minh Tri is one of the most famous DJs in Hanoi, and he is popular with the audience despite not having any education history in arts. The MC of the Happy Lunch Show has also tried his hands at acting as the main characters of movies like Buoc Nhay Xi Tin, Hoa Phuong Trang, AtoZ, etc. In the future, the multi-talented artist will return as an actor in the second part of the currently hot drama TV show next to his longer projects as a DJ.
