The legendary English DJ trio Above & Beyond will once again come to Vietnam to perform at NEX Music Festival 2018 this May.

On the morning of April 23rd, the press conference introducing NEX Music Festival 2018: Above & Beyond was held in Hanoi. Since its announcement, NEX Music Festival 2018 has received a lot of attention from the EDM community, with the participation of the legendary trio Above & Beyond, Vicetone, Party Favor, Paris & Simo and a lineup of the Top DJs in Vietnam with names like Nim & Slim, DJ Minh Tri, SummerHuynh, Kodeine, KS, KevinEvin & Ezik (SMOKE Session), Hanzoi and Howning.

Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to be chosen by Above & Beyond to perform in May. This is also the second time the trio performs in Vietnam, but it is the first time they have ever performed in Hanoi. With the most technologically advanced and sophisticated stage design, NEX Music Festival 2018: Above & Beyond promises to bring the best musical experience ever!

At the event, Vietnamese artists representative - DJ Minh Tri received many questions from the media about the pressure Vietnamese artists are under standing on the same stage as international DJs. DJ Minh Tri shared that, even though he is not appearing on the poster, he is not bothered by it, because what he wants is to devote all of his passion to the audience. DJ Minh Tri also humorously compared that: 'If even the Oscar has the best supporting actor category then I do not need to be the main actor, and although I am the supporting actor, what I bring will leave a mark that won't fade to the audience'

Above & Beyond was formed in 2000, consisting of Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki. The group officially entered the world of professional DJs in 2002, with their hit song 'What It Feels Like For A Girl' remixed from the original by Madonna. Shortly after the release, this song had ruled many music charts all over the world, which helps to bring the trio's name closer to EDM lovers.
